- There is a Cornershop in the centre of Winchester, where anything could happen. Will you find it by chance or chance or will you seek out the inspiration that the corner shop supplies? Launched in May 2008 in association with The Point, Eastleigh, Cornershop is a unique jewel of a space in the centre of Winchester presenting contemporary artists working in dance, theatre, performance and visual art. Fondly known as the old pet shop, this traditional Georgian shop has been transformed into an arts hub, hosting four/five events every year. Each event jolts the senses, bringing humour, surprise and wonder. For some, a reason to come into town, for others a great surprise.
